I think drawing class is destroying the little motivation I have to draw. Our regular teacher has been sick since the start of the academic year and we’re on our second substitude..
He’s a fun guy, probably a good teacher, but the tasks we get are the same as that of the first years, which is boring and well.. We saw the second year last year do amazing stuff, while now it feels as if we’re redoing our first year and aren’t learning anything new.
It seems I’m not the only one to complain. Everyone has been pushing themselves to get to class, which was never a problem last year. Everyone’s always late, but that’s not new. We all work and traffic/overtime doesn’t make it easy to be there on time.
Then there’s the badly lit subjects… Honestly, seeing the details on a 2cm bird head in a dark room at a distance of 3 meters .. At my age! What is he thinking … (and I’m part of the young ones in class ;)) 20 people should be divided in groups, with each their own subject. My eyes aren’t bad but a day of developing software really puts serious strain on your eyes… They get tired at night!
So yeh, it’s been less fun. Also, because it’s less fun I produce crap results. Hence the lack of pictures of my drawings. Tomorrow we paint… And I really don’t like painting :/
